Quick recipes for patison

Yellow or white patisons are slightly different from pumpkins, as they are not round, but rather have a flattened disc shape with wavy edges. They are full of vitamins and minerals. The low sodium content is specific. This determines it as a very good food component for people suffering from cardiovascular problems or kidney diseases. In addition, patisons have a low calorie content and are therefore helpful in various reduction diets. They are also recommended for diabetics, due to their minimal carbohydrate content.

We need:

100 g of onion
60 g of oil
ground red pepper
salt
800 g of patisons
2 dl of sour cream
10 g plain flour

Procedure: Fry the finely chopped onion in oil. Add the red pepper and then the patties cut into smaller cubes. Add water and simmer until the patties are soft. Mix two spoonfuls of sauce with the cream, add the flour and pour it back into the pot so that the cream does not curdle. Dumplings or savory pastries are a suitable side dish.

Patison croquettes

We need:

1 medium-sized patison
salt
3 eggs
6 tablespoons of oatmeal
1 tablespoon semi-coarse flour
oil
Procedure: Grate the patizón on a medium coarse grater. We salt it and let it rest for about ten minutes. We squeeze out the excess juice by hand, add oatmeal, egg yolks, and flour. We will prepare the snow, which we will lightly mix into the dough. Shape the croquettes with a tablespoon and fry them in hot oil on both sides. Served with fried potatoes, tartar sauce or vegetable salad.

Stuffed patison

We need:

2 patisons
700 g of minced pork shoulder
2 buns
2 dl of milk
2 eggs
150 g of hard cheese
oil
garlic
salt and black pepper
Procedure: Cut a round hole in the patisons. Cut the cut out part into thin noodles. Mix the milk-soaked buns with minced meat, eggs, and add black pepper. Mix well, finally add chopped pieces of patison. Fill the prepared patties with the mixture, cover with foil and bake. Bake until the meat is done, at the end sprinkle the patties with grated cheese.
